Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished psychologist since 1993, and the director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name has been recognized for pioneering the study of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in the legal setting. Professor Goodman is a prolific author who has received many prizes and grants. She consults with numerous nations and organizations around the world regarding policies and research on child victimization in the court system. She serves as an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of many professional organizations including the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychological Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She is the former president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
