Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is a Norwegian music writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is a May 2015 release by Decca Records. It has received high praise from the blogs and the press. Half the World Away from the band Oasis was made for an advertisement for John Lewis, and Nature Boy is a Nat King Cole cover. Katy Perry posted a video that she supported Runaway. This brought her some recognition. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was finding a keyboard in her loft and being intrigued by its sounds. The parents of her May-Britt family along with Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to take up music not as a profession or a pastime, but to grow. As a result, she began writing the music she composed herself. As well as Bjork as well, she mentions Leonard Cohen as an influence. In response to her mother's suggestion that her children ought not to aim at achieving fame through her songwriting, but instead realize the importance of themselves and their impact on society. The piano was her first instrument when she was six years old and started creating music when she was nine. She didn't tell her family about her musical journey until she was 14. Aurora wasn't a dream. As she says, she just loves writing music. For her, music is the best way to feel anything.
