Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada is an actress famous for her character Bo in The Showcase show Lost Girl. Silk was produced by Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk have been the grandparents of Silk. Ilkay is a playwright and director and plays the role of drama instructor in St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna holds some of her earliest memories of watching and attending play rehearsals. Silk starred in numerous commercials for children. She was in 1997 when she graduated with a bachelor's degree at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas was active in at least two early theater productions including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk was able to move from Toronto in the month of November 1999 to Los Angeles California to pursue her acting career. Seth Cooperman was her future husband when she was introduced to him during an acting workshop in Los Angeles. In 2009, the couple were married in a civil ceremony in December of 2009. They renewed their vows on April 10th 2011 at Fredericton in the tradition of a Jewish wedding ceremony after Silk made the decision to convert to Judaism. Silk Cooperman was born May 2013and had a son named Samuel Jerome Cooperman. Levi Aaron, Silk's second child was born in the month of May of 2016. Silk has a number of television roles, including Cassidy Holland from Being Erica. The actress was nominated to win Gemini Awards in 2009 to play this character. The Canadian show Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character in the succubus. Silk was pregnant during filming the finale of the third series. She announced the pregnancy to fans during the Showcase Season Three pre-show special on January 6, 2013. Silk tweeted on June 20th, 2013 that the show would return in the production. Fourth season premiered on the 4th of June 2013 and was produced by Showcase and Prodigy Pictures. The CNN Cable News Network named her performance as Bo along with Lauren (Zoie Parker) on Lost Girl as same-sex couples one of their all-time favorite TV Couples. E! named them the Top Television Couple for 2013. Entertainment Television. Silk has a huge following on Facebook and Twitter, as a direct consequence of its success.
